Little christmas tree

Candles are a great way to celebrate, but I have to admit check with your fire department about potential problems.

To Christmas Tree Or To Not Christmas Tree

People all around the world are going to get ready for Christmas soon. One of the common questions a family will face is to put up a tree or not. I know for me, I have had a Christmas tree ever since I was a kid and I want my kids to have the same enjoyment as me, so it is obvious I am going to use a tree. Here are some of the reasons I love having a Christmas tree up in the middle of my house's entryway.

Symbolism is one thing I really like about the Christmas tree. When I put up the tree, I think more about the season of Christmas and what it really means. Yes, I know for a lot of stores and other people the Christmas tree means getting to have presents for everyone, but for me it reminds me each day that we are preparing for Jesus to come into our lives.

My kids start to behave better than what they normally would. Yes, it is evil and mean of me to say this, but my kids start to behave and listen better when the tree goes up. It is like they know Santa will be keeping a really close eye on them and this really helps me keep my sanity!

Christmas is by far one of my favorite times of the year. However, when it comes to putting up a Christmas tree I have to say definitely! I hear so many people debating this topic each year and have to wonder why would you not want to put up a tree and share this enjoyment with your family.

How To Properly Decorate Your Christmas Tree

Decorating your Christmas tree is more of a challenge than what it would seem. I know from experience it is nearly impossible to get your tree looking great and have people comment on how wonderful the Christmas tree looks.

With the Christmas tree, as seen in the video below, you want to start off with your lights. The lights will really make the difference in how the tree is going to look, but also how radiant it will present itself in the room.

Something else I found interesting in the video is how this lady takes and makes the bows from the ribbons. I know for me this would be a challenge since my kids would likely to interfere. However, I never really thought about making the bows with the ribbons, especially the wide ribbon.

I do have a minor confession, about this video. The confession is the video talks about only decorating one side of the tree. I have to disagree here because look how dark the corner is behind her in the opening clip of the video! I could not imagine sitting there and staring at that all Christmas season, so make sure you decorate the back of the tree too!

Decorating the Christmas tree is easy to do, I know from experience. However, I did learn quite a bit while watching this video on how to properly decorate your Christmas tree. So make sure you kick back and enjoy your Christmas this year.

Small Christmas Trees Made From Pine Cones - How Cool Is That!

How cool is this idea! I mean I have a ton of pine cones laying around in the yard thanks a pine tree that enjoys leaving behind the cones. Some of the cones are rather large and would not really work for this type of project because they would be more large size compared to the ones in the video. However, I do have to admit I never would have thought about the pine cones as being transformed into small Christmas trees.

Something I am going to do is follow the advice this video provided, but I am also going to guarantee the paint is non-toxic. Doing that I can have my kids make the Christmas trees as well from pine cones and not have to be concerned about them getting sick. Something else I really like is the little decorations they have, the only problem I would think you can encounter here is the pine cones may be too tightly closed to put the decorations in. However, you can always use a little dab of glue to keep the decorations on.

I just cannot wait to see these little pine trees sitting on the fireplace this winter. The best part is I know these pine tree Christmas trees were made by my hands and those of my children.
